MSc programme
An 18-month programme, MSc in DFinTech is aiming to meet the growing demand for FinTech talents in Singapore and the region. The main objective of the MSc in DFinTech is to produce high-quality FinTech specialists. We aim at cultivating leading FinTech talents who can enhance the innovation and R&D productivity at regional FinTech firms.
Students will acquire knowledge in IT and finance as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics modules tailored for financial applications. Immediately applicable and directly related to the future professions, acquired skillsets will be heavy on technology while placing a strong emphasis on finance. MSc in DFinTech will produce high-quality graduates who help fill the skill gap in the labour market and meet the booming FinTech job openings in Singapore and the region.
The following elective vertical modules provide the students opportunity to deep dive into specific topics.
1. Computing Technologies trains students in three job functions: software development, networking and infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
2. Financial Data Analytics and Intelligence trains students in two job functions: modern data analysis and AI-based smart automation.
3. Digital Financial Transactions and Risk Management trains students in two job functions: digital payments/contracts and risk management.
Through the capstone project, students will acquire deeper knowledge in one selected area about FinTech.

PhD Program:
A 4-year programme is aiming to meet the growing demand for FinTech talents in Singapore and the region. The main objective of the PhD in DFinTech is to nurture the top-quality students into top-notch researchers for both academia and industry.
Qualified students will be supported with generous scholarships.
Students will acquire knowledge in IT and finance as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics modules tailored for financial applications.
The flexible curriculum allows a PhD supervisor to design a personalized inter-disciplinary training for each PhD student. The programme will provide PhD students with a rigorous training in the FinTech research domains and empower them to contribute to advanced research in FinTech. Graduates will be capable of providing high levels of critical thinking in the development, evaluation and conduct of their projects, and of writing high quality scientific manuscripts.
Students are also expected to become confident and effective communicators of scientific knowledge. They are required to present their works while taking classes or participating in seminars to develop and sharpen their communication skills. Students will also be encouraged to present their research in international conferences to increase their exposure to the field.
